FRESH. That’s my style. Fresh perspectives, and a fresh approach to every wedding or portrait session. Fresh, inspiring photography.
FABULOUS. That’s my goal for your photos! Weddings are fabulous… fabulous details, fabulous couples, fabulous love! Families are fabulous… fabulous moments and relationships! Grads are fabulous too… fabulous energy, and life, and youth! When you add my passion for capturing YOU, it makes for fabulous photographs!
YOU. That’s what this is all about, after all. You. What makes you laugh? What do you love? What is your favorite past time? WHO are you, exactly? I’d love to get to know you a bit, and when I do, I will capture YOU, your inner beauty, that light in your eyes, and your character and personality that are uniquely you.

In the spring of 2007, a friend asked me to photograph her sister’s wedding “as a gift”. I agreed, but after much self-debate. I had never photographed a wedding before, and a wedding is not something you can go back to and retake. My friend reassured me that they had seen enough of my photographs to know everything was going to work out great.
Let me go back in time just a bit, and share about my life-long interest in photography. I took my first black and white photography class in grade school, and I loved every minute of it, finding, even then, different and interesting angles from which to take pictures of my classmates. (I still have those photos, they are a riot!) My next birthday found me the proud new owner of my VERY OWN camera. I loved that thing, and saved my allowance and babysitting funds for rolls of film and developing costs. In my teens, photography took a bit of a backseat to boys, my later to be hubby, in fact, but some years later my passion was renewed with the birth of our first child. As my kids grew, passion for capturing the priceless, irreplaceable moments of their babyhood, grew to include moments in my friends lives, until that first wedding in 2007.
One wedding. That’s all it took. The rest is history. From that wedding I was referred to 4 more weddings in my first year as an “official” photographer, and 6 more in my second, as well as many family portraits. My business has grown to include grad sessions (which are incredible, and I think they are such a blast!), as well as maternity and newborn sessions. Now my passion is also my career, and I couldn’t be happier about it.
Aspect Arts began and flourished by word of mouth referral only in Smithers, a beautiful, mountainous, northern BC town. Last fall my family relocated to Kamloops, and now I am working “from the ground up”, as they say, to build my business in this amazing city. Business is picking up as my name gets out there, and I’m looking forward to meeting some more of the great people who call this city “home”.
Life is full of fleeting moments. Have you ever wondered how time has slipped so quickly through your fingers? “Where did this year go?” Aspect Arts Photography really has just one main objective – to capture your priceless moments, this special time in your life, whether it is a wedding, a birth, a graduating teen, or your family, and create a work of art, a treasure, that will keep it fresh and alive for years to come.
