Erica and I were totally on the same page when it came to her headshots for her business. We decided to meet outside for a more informal, personal head shot session, and we had a lot of fun! We met at a local park and discovered a few fantastic backdrops for her portraits. Even the magnolias were blooming, which was a bonus!

Ahhh, yes, the last wedding of the winter, and I have to say I’m sad to see the end of winter (although it’s nice to go visit winter up on the hill and come back home to spring). There is a certain magic in a winter wedding. Rebecca and Thomas were married up in the mountain ski village of Sun Peaks, a beautiful place high in the mountains with fantastic slopes, and reputably amazing powder! These two are avid snowboarders, so it was only fitting that their ceremony was just outside the mid-mountain chapel, and it was also fitting that they both boarded back down the hill after.
Yep, you heard that right. A tux and a gorgeous wedding dress on snowboards. And it was awesome, and I was very impressed!

The reception was in the Grand Ballroom at the Delta Hotel, and, as usual, the decor was beautiful and the food decadent! Rebecca put her great DIY taste to use in the reception as well, adding the cool, wintery blue touches to the room.

Sarah graduated recently from university, and needed cap and gown photos to commemorate the event. The plan was to just do the cap and gown photos but I’ve been itching for spring sessions to begin, so asked Sarah to meet me outside first. It IS early spring still, and the evening was cool, but Sarah was a great sport. Thanks for braving the cold, Sarah, you’re great!
Sarah has amazing hair, so we had some fun with it!
